As we age, injuries, stress, and chronic tension reduce our range of motion. Tightening of muscle and connective tissue in one area affects the surrounding areas, causing them to also tighten and lose their flexibility. This tightening process extends like an ever-twisting elastic band up and down through the muscle and fascial network. From its injury origin it twists along lines that extend into the arms and legs through the pelvis, spine and continues into the abdomen, chest, arms, neck and head.
Unless this constrictive tightening is reversed, chronic tension and rigidity sets in, affecting the freedom of movement and the enjoyment of life. Dynamic Re-Integration (DRI) unwinds muscular tension and aligns connective tissues of the muscles and joints. The individual regains suppleness and fluidity of the associated joints and muscle-fascial-bone systems. Chronic pain associated with tension or structural mis-alignment is reduced or in many cases can be eliminated. Muscle system vitality returns; some say the process is "anti-aging." We make no claims about this aspect, but we acknowledge our clients' enthusiasm for their results!
